Fair enough. I wouldn't have any problem with it. Can anyone think of any crazy-abusive things that a spider with a shaman lets you do?

I can't imagine anyone would really have a problem with letting you take giant/gigantic spiders for your shamans, if you asked ahead of time.

Sure. The only thing I think is they shouldn't get Fast Calvalry rule per the BRB. It's stated they real riders are well-trained and that's what they do. But a shaman is going to be doing Gorky (or Morky) stuff all the time.

Meh. Take the 'giant wolf' option and put him on a spider anyway. You'll lose your terrain advantage, as will a unit he joins... but it can 'count as' well enough in my opinion.

Well, sure, but what about a Gigantic spider? Can Bosses ride those?

The Arachnarok is an iffier thing; a War Boss on one of those would be able to add to the spider's already formidable offensive power.
...then again, he's still just a goblin. T4, W3, and, what, WS6? I'd let you do it in friendly games.
