Hi, I'm Going To Be Starting A New Army Over The Summer And Space Marine's Are One Of The Armies That I Am Looking At, So I Made This 1500 Point List On What I Would Want To Get, How Is It?

HQ:

Pedro Kantor 175

Troops:

5 Space Marines 95 (Sitting On An Obj)
Plasma Cannon

5 Space Marines 135 (Obj Support)
Plasma Gun, Rhino

Elites:

7 Sternguard (With Kantor)
2 Heavy Flamers, Drop Pod

5 Sternguard 185
Combi-Meltas, Rhino

5 Assault Terminators 450
Thunder Hammers & Storm Shields, Land Raider Redeemer, Multi Melta

Heavy Support:

Vindicator 115

Vindicator 115

Seeing as Sternguard can hold objs with Kantor, I have 4 units that can capture in C&C and Seize Ground.

Don't have my codex but I don't think its legal mate, you need ten marines for a plasma cannon unless you combat squad, and then you only have one troops choice.

Other than that its fine, SG are bad ass mo fos!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Ah yeah that's what I've done, I've split one into a cb squad, what I could do is add a squad of Scouts with camo cloaks to make them durable and make sure they are quite durable and less expensive than another tac squad

allright stern guard you have them all wrong, dont put them in drop pods mate its risky, specially if you scatter, take 5 in each one, power fist in each squad, stick them in both razor backs with las cannons, so the las cannons take out transport the enemy troops get out shoot them to hell lol, vindicator take one instead its 24 inches so its short range take like a preditor tank with lascannons so much better. take more troops Eg: 1 10 man tac squad, aussault squad, but the list you have now is very cheesy. cheesy lists are for tournis only lol unless ur a complete *^# to people

Seems like a pretty good mid field setup, not sure if sterns are good enough to warrant two of them for their points.

My Armies:
- Death Wing and Green Wing
- Tacticals and Devastators
- Retired

230, But I've Reduced it to 6 now, with 1 HF.

Here's the new list which now is legal :

HQ:

Pedro Kantor 175

Troops:

5 Marines 95
Plasma Cannon

5 Marines 135
Plasma Gun, Rhino

5 Marines 90
Multi Melta

5 Marines 130
Meltagun, Rhino

Elites:

6 Sternguard 195
1 Heavy Flamer, Drop Pod

5 Assault Terminators 450
Thunder Hammers & Storm Shields, Land Raider Redeemer, Multi Melta

Heavy Support:

Vindicator 115

Vindicator 115

Total: 1500

How's This For Adding The Extra Troop To Make It Legal?

I would keep the Meltagun, and Multi-melta together in the same squad (plus, i don't believe your mean't to/have to write it like that in a list, you decide in deployment if you are going to combat squad i believe, so leave it until then, to see what would work best).
Its a nice list, but i would personally want some combi-weapons on the Sternguard.

The points for your tacticals are wrong.

Sternguard /should have combi weapons

Not sure Pedro is worth it

I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.

Why not get rid of Pedro and get Vulkan instead and swap the plasma for more Melta, get combi meltas or flamers for the Sternguard, replace the Vindicators with HF/MM Landspeeders and perhaps swap the Redeemer for a Crusader. Then you'll be getting alot of twin linked flamers, multi meltas, master crafted Hammers for your assault Terminators and an overall better HQ.

QFT. That would be an entirely different list, Roger. If the OP was going for a fluffy Crimson Fist list, then he's off to a decent start.

Speaking of which, the second version looks a lot better than the first. However, I still don't know if HF's are worth their points for them. Sternguard units are best known for their use of Special Ammunition. Their combi-weapons make them even more versatile. I'd invest those points from the HF to Combi-Flamers/Meltas instead.

I like how you've Combat Squaded your Tactical Squads, except the Sgt's need Power Weapons of some kind. I'd also consider getting them Razorbacks instead of the Rhinos. For only 5 more points, you still have equal transport capabilities, and you get a TL Heavy Bolter. You lose your Fire Points, but if you move beyond Combat Speed anyway, you're probably either popping smoke or getting out and shooting anyway. Otherwise, if you're in for a long haul, having a couple of TL Heavy Bolters shooting each turn is better than your normal Bolters.

Your Sternguard, on the other hand, can probably benefit more from a Rhino instead of the Drop Pod. Having the Fire Points to use makes their Special Ammo that much more reliable since you'll have the protection of being in a vehicle too. And as a Scoring Unit in this list, you want to keep them mobile, as they'll need to be in order to claim objectives. Drop Podding them is a bit of a "Russian Roulette" tactic, really. And for a unit this expensive, I'd avoid the risk.

Everything else looks pretty good though. Maybe add Extra Armor to the LRR too, and you've got a pretty good list at below 2000 points.

"This One Is Rurouni... Once Again, This One Will Drift..."
"Rushing towards danger without hesitation isn't recklessness, but bravery... And avoiding danger when there's a chance for victory isn't precaution, but cowardice..."
"I can only go forward."

The point for your tactical s are wrong

10 tactical with plasma cannon and plasma gun and rhino 220 points not 230 like your points cost suggests
10 tactical with MG and MM and rhino is 210 not 220

you then split them up at the start of the game

good list i personaly never question sternguard and try to have as many as possible as they can adapt to all situations

Sternguard in drop pod will die. Remember with combiweapons they are 2x as expensive as regular marines but die just as easily. I would say razor or rhino for them (so you have better control.

Vidies are okay but if you're going close range firepower have you thought about salamanders with vulkan he'stan?

Also remember that unlike salamanders kantor or lysander aren't necessary to have a 'fluffy' imp fist/crimson fist army. Additionally you could look at the black templar codex but that's got it's own issues.
