How come it only has lascannons and heavy bolters? Where's the ass. cannons? Where's the plasma?

Assault cannon can be bought, it's in the LRC/LRR upgrade kit. Plasma guns can be bought and, with a little conversion, glued to the lascannon turret.
I still agree though, it's a really cheap move on GW's part.

When I got into the hobby in the 90s, the only Razorback turret was the metal las/plas one.

When the razorback came out in the early-mid 2000's those were the only two options they could have in the codex. The only twin-linked plasma gun/lascannon turret was invalidated and only came back with the most recent codex: Space Marines.
