So I know a kill team match is a squad of troops, but they function as a squad right? My idea is what if each model in the squad was a separate character instead of a unit.
You use 200pts of troops and each model is independent of the others.

I guess each model killed would be worth it's point cost to the player who killed it.

Must adhere to rules for the squad like only 1 hw in a tactical marine squad.

Is this a format already? If not hows the basic concept sound and does anyone have any ideas to elaborate?

That exists in the Battlemissions book. Was quite fun, only played it once, and didn't really use anything any good.

Oh, thanks for the reply. I'll check it out as iI thought it sounded fun when it came to me, but I figured the game had been around so long someone had already come up with it.

I believe that is the idea behind the fan-made Death Squads game.

It's very similar to how you play the LotR SBG, it's really great if you have less than an hour to play and it changes the dynamics of unit and things that are usually worthless can be quite useful.

Yeah, this already exists. Kill-Teams . An interesting alternative is to run games/campaigns based off of the Necromunda rules.
