After a couple of test games, I found that I just really don't like playing with Teclis. I think that taking Teclis pretty much forces you to dedicate 1000 points to this choice (Teclis + Phoenix Guard Bunker + BSB with BotWD), forces you to play those 1000 points very defensively, and I just really never felt like he was my style.
So after some playing around, I am almost settled down on this list:
3000 Pts - High Elves Roster
Total Roster Cost: 2993
Alith Anar, The Shadow King
Archmage, Book of Hoeth
Mage Lv. 2, Seerstaff of Saphery
Noble BSB, Dragon Armour, Shield, Reaver Bow
Noble on Eagle, GW, Armor of Protection
35 Lothern Sea Guard - Full Command, Banner of Eternal Flame
22 Archers - Full Command
21 Sword Masters of Hoeth - Full Command, Ironcurse Icon, Razor Standard
20 White Lions of Chrace - Full Command, The Other Trickster's Shard, Banner of Sorcery
Lion Chariot of Chrace
Lion Chariot of Chrace
Great Eagle
Tactics:
Shadow King: He will supplement my shooting phase a little bit, since I think that RBT will give up way to many victory points in the 3rd scenario with the lightning, and the limited sight distance for RBT in the back fields in scenario #1. I will either stick him with the LSG, giving them the benefit of the -1 to shooting for enemy units, or depending on the army I am facing I might even scout him. Dropping a BS 7 BT with a 4+ ward behind enemy lines might be interesting. In Scenario #2 he can benefit from the Bloody Choppa.
BSB: Goes with the LSG for rerolls, some additional high S/high BS shooting to replace the RBT's, and some additional CC punch. I don't have the points for a GW, unless I maybe give up the Ironcurse Icon. Not sure if the 6+ Parry ward is better than a GW though. Also a beneficiary of the Bloody Choppa.
Chicken Noble: Pick on Warmachines, small units, make rear charges, and so forth. In scenario #3 he will join either the archers or the LSG. That way he can be pretty certain to survive the lightning storms, and in the last turn he can march out of the unit and make a 20 inch move to the objective. If I am facing a very shooty army in scenario #2 he might join the LSG as well, giving him and the eagle both +1A & +1S.
Magic: Level 4 will pick Life. Level 2 I am undecided on. I was thinking about Shadow or High Magic. But I am also seriously considering Heavens. It would be hilarious if I manage to Wind Blast an enemy character away from the objective in the last turn of scenario 3.
LSG; Either deploy 7 wide x5 ranks, or 5 x 7 depending on the enemy. Strip regen where needed to prepare for hits by Reaver Bow and the Shadow Kings bow. Act as anvil.
SM & WL: Hammers
Chariots: Hammers & Warmachine hunters. Protect flanks.
Eagle: Hunt Warmachines, protect a flank.
My only other option I am considering right now is to just take a Lv. 2 with High Magic and the Curse of Arrow Attraction, and another prince with the Bow of the Seafarer, just to make it a fluffy list.
