So I havent actually built a list at all. But I have a bunch of models that I won a few weeks back. I wan this to be an in your face, quick, hard assault and big gun support list. I know thats alot to ask at 1000 points but id like for it to be as competive as possible. I would like to just go with mainly wyches and warriors as troop choices instead of using characters to be able to use hellions and wracks. Here is a list of the models I have. PLease try to help me create a winning 1000 point list. I just have no idea on where to start as this will be my first attempt of ever playing any type of elf. I would say that i do like the hit and run and fast assault idea more than the shooty lists so i guess i favor wyches over warriors but would still like to have some of each. I can also buy some more stuff if i need to bulk up units but i dont want to have to buy a bunch more differant units than i have as i feel what i have is a good starting point.

I have

archon x1

succubus x2

wyches x 2

warriors x2

ravager x1

raider x 2

incubi box x1

reaver box x1

harlequin troupe set

and a few hellions

please help me out here id like to play 1000 points this week some time and your comments would be so much appreciated

Your list isn't very helpful from an army building concept. Wyches x 2 is that...2 wyches? 2 boxes of wyches (though you indicate boxes later and don't here...)? 2 10 man squads?

Are they already built? Do they already have set wargear in place?

There's a lot of uncertainty for when it comes to building a list.

For general DE army advice I'd point you to the Dark Eldar Tactica (link is in my sig) it's not finished (yet) but is a solid starting point for new generals.

If you want fast assault I would give you these very broad stroke ideas;

HQ
Haemys to grant pain tokens to Wyches
A succubus or an Archon can be decent.

TROOP
Take Wyches. Generally speaking you'll want Agonisers and Haywire Grenades in the squads.

All troop slots should take Raiders/Venoms if possible.

HEAVY
Take Ravagers.

ELITE
Do not use unless you lack models/slots in Heavy section.

FAST
Don't.

All vehicles should probably have flickerfields, though you can skimp and avoid getting them on 'assault boats' if you're low on points.

Turn 1 - move the Wyches flat out at enemy. Ravagers fire at enemy vehicles hoping to pop transports and at least shake/stun weapon heavy vehicles (predators, Dreads, Hammerheads, et al)

Turn 2 - Wyches assault, using Haywires vs. parking lot enemies or just piling in on footsloggers. Gun elements keep shooting.

Turn 3-4 - Rinse repeat Turn 2.

Turn 5 - If an objective mission; move flat out with Troops in Raiders/Venoms to claim objectives. move flat out with empty Raiders/Venoms to contest objectives. If not, rinse repeat Turn 2.

Turn 6 - Rinse repeat Turn 5.

That about sums it up

Oops sorry. The number beside the unit type is the quantity of boxes/packages of them. So I should just have flat out 6 units of wyches? No warriors? Why about the reaver bikes are they not worth the points? Thanks for your help.

You won't be able to afford 6 units of Wyches at 1000, and you might want to take Warriors but I'm going with the idea that you want an assault theme to the army since you indicated a preference for Wyches and fast assault over warriors and shooting.

With 2 boxes of Wyches you can functionally create 2 squads. That's a decent base to work with at 1000 points.

I'd avoid the RJBs unless point filling become an issue, they are inferior to Wyches and Warriors - so until you've sorta maxed your Wyches and Warriors they're not an optimal choice - that goes double for Hellions who add in 'more expensive than' to their list of crimes.

I'd suggest as a good base to your army the following;

2x Wych squad (take a Hekatrix with an Agoniser, Haywire grenades for the squad, and somewhere around 6-10 Wyches depending on taste) Buy them a Raider with flickerfields.

2x 10 Warriors with Dark Lance (I'd prefer to have them in Raiders/Venoms and with different loadouts, but I'm just working within what you have)

1x Ravager w. 3 Dark Lances w. flickerfields

That will run you around 750 points or so (I'm rough estimating, but it's in the ballpark, and this does vary greatly depending on how many Wyches you take in each squad) The Succubus can be a functional and affordable HQ and can be placed in with one of the Wych squads to ride in their Raider. The Warriors are placed in sniper positions, they and the Ravager pop stuff open and the Wyches eat it for breakfast.

You'd still have some points left over to play with some RJB builds or maybe toy around with a unit of Hellions.

Tactics work roughly as outlined above

Also, experiment and come up with your own lists - I'm pretty sure most players here are much more willing to offer feedback on a finished list than constructing one for someone. Finally, I do advise you to check out some DE tacticas and batreps - they can be an unforgiving army because of their glass chin and it has a steep learning curve that can be mellowed out by familiarizing yourself with their units and how to play them.
