Infiltrating Hawwa'

Through the looking glass

I've read the debates about going ogre club/ironfist and ironfist weapon/shield, but I've come to the conclusion that I really like ironfists. So much so that I would like to give every bull in my mob one (or two). The question is, from a balanced list standpoint, how much worse would I fare than if I would have taken clubs? The fact that an ironfist can become a shield has some merit to it, however for 7 ironfists I can put another ogre body in the group.

Taking a fist doesn't mean you lose your club.

as per the FAQ, an ogre that purchases an Ironfist and Hand Weapon retains it's ogre club.

this means an ogre has 3 options when fighting with an Ironfist.

1) don't use the Ironfist and just the Ogre club for 3 attacks at -2 armor(Str4 and the Club's rules)

2) use the Ironfist as a shield for a 6+ parry save and 3 attacks at only -1 armor(str4)

3) use the Ironfist as a Hand Weapon and have an additional attack for 4 attacks at -1 armor(Str4)

The other side of the internet

I'm personally a big fan of ironfists as shields in CC. It allowed my bullstar to take on 10 Ushabti and Tomb Prince and eventually beat them down with only a few losses (and my best rolling ever).

What if I just purchase Iron Fists?

Do I still have the option to use the club and the IF as two hand weapons to get the extra attack, forfeiting their special attributes?

you can't just buy Ironfists.
