Hello All,

I need a bit of clarification as I saw something in a game that seemed off.

In a game, I saw a BA player take 15 death company, all with jet packs. The codex states that you can only take 1 squad of death company per army (in a normal non Apoc game). A player deployed 10 of the death company via deep strike and the other half was inside of a stormraven and began the game on the table embarked inside of it.

That being said, I couldn't find any mention of BA death company models having the rule combat squads, which allows the unit to deploy separated. The two batches were used as if they were separate units, but isn't that impossible as they can only be taken as 1 unit and don't have the ability to divide like other marines?

As a BA player myself, it just didn't look right, but perhaps I missed something in the codex.

Any guidance here would be appreciated.

He may have taken Astaroth, who removes the limit on death company units.

Ah, I though I might have missed something. Player did take Astaroth, so it was legit.

Thanks!
