So, a couple people in my group are actively getting into GK's again, now that they no longer suck. We're experimenting with builds, etc., to decide what we like (as a group).
What we have seen is that DE are going to have a HUGE problem against them since even their regular guns can take down every vehicle from 24" away.

We're finding some decent stuff with shooting. It looks like Night Shields are going to be added to our obligatory kit for Ravagers, alongside Flicker Fields. Even 'sit & shoot' squads of DE with Dark lances in raiders will probably get NS's.

What I'm looking for is to elicit some responses regarding HtH vs GK's. I want to get some ideas from others.

We've found:

Incubi slaughter GK's in HtH, especially when they win initiative. S4 power weapons do a real & on them and, at a 1 on 1 basis, Incubi usually win. The problem is when you get a GK with a high Init who takes a couple Incubi out before you get to throw your attacks. At least if you're TYING on initiative, the Incubi will usually take out more than they lose, due to their high # of attacks.
So, we were wondering about Raiders with Incubi & 2 Attached haemonculi. Two PT's mean FnP & Furious Charge, adding a S and I bump, making then stronger and faster (S5 & 6 P-Weapons on DE? Yes, thank you!). You lose the fleet ability but, if you worked it right, that's not a huge loss.
Plus, if it looks like you're going to NEED fleet, you can always leave the Incubi with just one token & split the haemons off. Hopefully, they'll live long enough to get that extra FC bump.
Crunching the #'s looks like a unit of 8 Incubi would slaughter a unit of 10 GK's to the man if they had FC and, as long as thy GK's didn't have halberds, wouldn't lose any models.
Thoughts?

Another thought is Lady Malys. She's expensive, but she gives herself & the unit she's attached to an immunity to Instant Death. In multi-wound units, like Beastmasters or Grotesques, that's a huge ability.
Thoughts about 4 Grot's and her in a Raider? maybe with a Haemon for the FC bump?

Also, Beastmasters. Three masters & 15 Khymerae is a bit more than 200 points, but can put out in the neighborhood of 60 attacks on the charge, with a majority of them receiving a 4+ Invulnerable save, making them FAR more resilient to the GK's Force Weapons. A Sacrificial lamb haemon with a WWP would give them GREAT field location, too. Probably making them able to assault on the turn they arrived.

Thoughts?
