Have you tried it out? You said experimenting so I assume you have. Have you had good results with Thraka on foot? The Slow and Purposeful kind of scares me.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Drop the Nob squad get some meganobz and a battlewagon. Foot sloggin with Ghaz or anything with Slow and purposeful is awful.

Only plus side is the fact they can shoot any weapon and still move my favourite tactic is dropping them 12" away and blaze the squad with Shoota rounds. Use the BW to shield the squad from any Ap2 or better weapons.

I agree with others you need to speed up Ghaz. Also, i'm not so sure about deffkoptas but I've never used them myself. I prefer warbikes with PK to rush ahead and harass any enemy shooty units such as devastators, heavy weapon teams, etc. or take tanks out from rear with PK. But, like I said I myself have never actually used deffkoptas.

GENERATION 9: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

I say keep the nobz, give gazzy FNP, and slap 'em in a BW. I feel like the ard upgrade on the nobz is a waste with the invulnerable save and FNP, its 45 points better used elsewhere.

I do have a battlewagon, but i use it in my 2000pt games along with more nobs

Thraka on foot...has...done...really well for me surprisingly, with my 1500 point games I'm 3-0-1, and 2000 I'm 3-0-0
5 of them objective and 2 Annihilate

Actually, I think Ghazzy, as an IC, gets Move Through Cover, meaning he gets 2d6, pick the highest movement. Not certain, though, but it makes SnP a lot less scary on foot.

That's interesting, can he do that while joined to a unit? Or would you just move through terrain with him alone and then join up with them once they are out of terrain. His Waaagh definitely helps to make up for his slow and purposeful rule.

Yeah I have one in a box, and haven't built him due to lack of battle wagons. I may build him to see how he does Saturday.
