Brother Casca, Hero of the Jorun retaliation and interred for his bravery in the adamantine casket of a dreadnough suit

Casca, is pretty much a WIP.
Seen here taking a glancing blow and retaliating with stormbolter and lascannon.

- His left powerfist arm needs to be re-GS'd
- more filing work on plastic mold lines and GS
- new basing (the current is temporary)
- exchanging lascannons for twin-linked autocannons.
- addition of stormbolter under left chest.

This also marks the second model for me lads of Espandor and Calth.

what chapter are you doing, and what colors, homebrewed? if so whats the fluff!

I love the dreadnought, the standard kit looks so static and boring but yours looks like it's about to burst into life. Nice work

Today:
Finished the rough work on Casca, started with details and will proceed with chopping him up when done to add magnets.

Sternguard squad "Vassus" is nearing conversion completion.
- Captain Arius, bolter mod done, Truescale somewhat done.
- Brother Cimber, heavy bolter heavy conversion done, TS done.
- Brother Cremutius, autocannon conversion done, scratchbuilt mag done, macragge helmet, done.
- need to finish brothers, Durio & Glabrio.

Tactical Squad "Pollia"
- Sergeant Aper done.
- All battle-brothers done.
- fluff needs to be added.

pics are forthcoming.

Also scored 40 additional tactical eq'd astartes via ebay for further conversions. Need to score more terminators for legs tho.

the dread on the right there is sans the sarcophagii, entirely scratchbuilt. to the left of it are a pair of legs + calf for it. not convinced its the right vibe tho.

This second Dread is an evil bugger wielding two twin linked autocannons.

The GS is very muddy, but that's to be expected until i sand it into shape after it hardens.

The second lad from the left is missing his right arm bracer. otherwise they're both more or less done.

Very fitting the idea of the IG support. also, they fit the fluff.
Downside? Need to remove 19 heads, and affix 19 new ones, not to mention the weapon conversions needed!

just as he spun around to order his men, he noticed a blur of movement not far beyond, "Contact, Xenos!" throwing up his arm in the direction of ingress.





the lines look much more straight and less podgy under the lamp light :S

I love the Dreadnought - now, it looks like it could actually walk, instead of stumbling forward. Looking forward to more.

So, bitz arrived, three autocannon dread arms built, a ton of bolters for various patterns conversions.

Now the interesting bits is that i also got four sets of sentinel legs, snafu from the supplier but they let it slide.

So plan is to build three new dreads (the rifleman dread will be awesome, extra armor means extra bulk, meaning meany-dread)
the three dreads will of course have sentinel legs.

Also, and this is something that i'd appreciate feedback on.
My IG support, will be featuring two tauros vehicles, i scored four halo warthogs that scalewise are as large.
Could/Would they be proxy-able as Tauros buggies?
(with weapons to match)
