Hmmm anyone else have troubles getting on Warseer again? this morning I tried and I literally just get a white screen, no 404 error etc etc. very weird.

Phew !! it's not just me then.
I tried to get on Warseer most of yesterday and kept getting told the site was unavailable.
I gave up eventually, but if it was another attack, then it sure seems that someone has it in for them.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Philbrad - nice to see you over here!
Which really should serve as a reminder on why you really should obey the rules over here, and not slag off on other forums.
There are plenty of good reasons to visit Warseer, especially now that they're safer than ever!
Heck, a got my start over there, way back in the Portent days - and I still visit there today!

To be fair, that might have more to do with location.
While both are 'Internet Forums' and of course are international, Dakka's always felt like it's pretty dang heavy on North American posters.
Portent/Warseer's always felt heavy on Europeans/British Isles posters.
One of those has relatively easy access to GW's main base of operations, and it's not the North Americans

Two days ago I went on Warseer in a school informatic lab, seconds later I had warnings poping all over my screen, now those warning were from all sorts of "anti-virus" and other anti-badthings that were not installed on the computer so I started a McAfee scan and soon it started discovering a whole lot of virii, at that I didn't think it was Warseer. I was askes by technicians if I had visited any site I knew was unsafe/had already given me virii, no luck I use linux at home so no virii ever for me. Now arriving today, I took another post, one I was sure was not infected, I browsed Dakka for a while then progammed a bit. When I was done programming I went on to look at other wargames website, within seconds of loading Warseer new popups appeared on my screen. Now I 'm not saying I'm 100% sure I got those virii from Warseer (and I was able to clean them myself without having a technician come) but there seems to be a strong correlation between going to Warseer and getting infected.

Warseer is a joke. I am sorry, unless you are a big name there, you are treated differently. I have done nothing really wrong, but still get banned while you have some big name rumor people there calling people names, degrading them and not even getting warnings, so it depends who you are over there, you get special treatment. I am oh so glad that I got banned otherwise I would have never found DakkaDakka since I wasn't looking else where.
As for the comment someone made about how only a few people post there and not here, well not sure why this is the case. I don't want to speculate, but I just hate if you are not a but kisser their you get treated differently.
