I like playing space marines. However I have decided that they are missing something really important in my opinion. This would be a medium transport. We have the tin can rhino and razorback and the superheavy land raider. However there is nothing in between. I would love to see something like this:

Assault Box MKI

BS Front Side Rear Cost
4 13 12 11 90

Transport Cap: 12
Armament: Twin Linked Grenade Launchers
Equipment: Smoke Launchers, Spot Light, Extra Armor
Firing Points: 0
Access Points: 3: 2 Sides and 1 Front

Options:
Can replace linked grenade launchers with the following:
Linked Heavy Bolters +5
Linked Assault Cannons +40
Linked Autocannon +20
Linked Multimeltas +25
Linked Lascannons +30

Can trade side access for sponsons with:
Linked Heavy Bolters +20
Lascannons +50
Multimeltas +30
Autocannons +25
Heavy Flamers +10

Can upgrade vehicle with all normal upgrades in space marine codex as well as the following:
Power of the Machine Spirit +20
Assault Ramp with frag launchers +20

I think that this would give marines a really customisible transport that could fill several roles. I would make it a dedicated transport for HQ choices and able to be bought as a heavy support choice. Personally I would just love to have something that I could buy as a transport that is survivable without having to buy a land raider.

Marines don't really do medium stuff... fluffwise anyway.
They do fast attacks through either drop pod or rhino/razorback.
The predator and friends are for support.
The land raider is meant to stomp through heavy firepower and deliver shock troops.

Fluff wise this doesn't fit. Medium transports are more of a guard thing.

But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
