These are my first attempts at painting warhammer minis, I bought myself a box of dark elf executioners and got stuck in with a very limited amount of paints to choose from. Sorry for blurry images, I have since bought a decent camera and also started a high elf army so I might try and do some more painting this weekend and try and get some decent photos. Any and all feedback welcome.
There are also some photos of of some Reaper Minis Reptus warriors in my gallery, they were painted around the same time that I did the dark elves.

I like the color scheme on the first one. The second one is good but the first catches my eye more.

I agree. The first stands out more. Great first attempt

The green one is more eye catching but the purple add to the evilness. Great Start.

Thanks heaps guys. I wasn't sure about the colours...? I wanted to try something original that was different to the book so I went with the green and bronze and then tried the purple and gold. I also did one where I mixed the purple with mithril silver to give it a metallic look...not too bad.
The only problem I had with the green was it looks too much like a wood elf colour? And I agree with "medabee" about the purple adding a sinister evilness.
I'm going to post some Reaper Reptus warriors I did around the same time too, should I create a new thread or just add them to this one?
