Hello all!

You may have noticed that I recently started playing Black Templars. Owing to the fact that my friend whats to play orks, we will be buying Black Reach. As such, I have build a basic 1000pts list around the models you get in the box, and a really cool idea for a MArshal model that I had. I'm hoping to have a laugh with it, but also that it will be semi-competative, and able to deal with a club environment.

HQ
Emperor's Champion 140pts
Accept Any Challenge

Terminator Armour
Storm Shield
Power Sword

4 Man Terminator Command Squad 172pts
Furious Charge

Elites
Dreadnought 129pts
Multi-melta
Tank Hunter

Troops

5 Initiates
5 Neophytes
Missile Launcher
Frag Grenades
Rhino with Hunter Killer 69pts

10 Man Crusader Squad 155pts
5 Initiates
5 Neophytes
Meltagun
Frag Grenades
Power Sword

All the vehicles are also equipped with Smoke Launchers and Searchlights.

I'd say drop the Marshal, two HQs is too many at 1k is you want an efficient list. You need at least 5 terminators, and put a cyclone or assault cannon on 1-2 of them. If you're planning on doing melee those 2 squad sizes are fine, but if you're shooting consider spliting them up into 5 mans since Crusader squads can have 1 heavy wep per 5.

Not to mention that those rhinos won't be able to transport the crusader squads. Can't fit 15 models into a rhino.
