The idea is to make an expansion list for every caster.

Reaper can pull large, medium and small things towards itself. in your article it says 'Reaper can pull up to medium bases toward it any distance'.
You might also want to rephrase that to be pull into base contact as any distance seems to imply you can choose to reel it in to a point of your choosing. (Though the tactical tip uses the same language and really should be changed as well.)

They've clarified on their rules forums that "any distance" means any distance necessary to get into base to base.

Yep I realised, but using 'any distance' instead of 'into base contact' (baring terrain/other models) in something designed to help new players may not be the best idea.

What does the Ripjaw bring to the party? I'm not convinced that Goreshade needs a five point arc node or an arc node at all for that matter. Deathjack's a big investment in 35 point too. Swapping those for a Seether and a Deathripper gives you 4 points to spend on filling out your army.
A Warwitch Siren two units of six Mechanithralls (as opposed to one unit of ten) and a Necrotech & Scrap Thrall gives you lots of support options. On second thoughts leave the Seether at home and invest in another Slayer another Warwitch Siren and a Machine Wraith. That may be my Slayer bias kicking in again though.

Avoiding duplicates for these as they're all about building up
a starter collection. What's the full list you have in mind?

Ok, so I have edited the reaper entry to make it clearer in my mind.
As for the list you went for:
Goreshade the Bastard (*6pts)
- Ripjaw (5pts)
- Deathjack (12pts)
- Reaper (7pts)
- Slayer (6pts)
Mechanithralls (Leader and 9 Grunts) (5pts)
Necrosurgeon & 3 Stitch Thralls (2pts)
Bane Lord Tartarus (4pts)
If I was playing against this army, other than goreshade himself I would have two main targets; Tartarus and Deathjack both of whom are fairly fragile in the cryxian way.
Assuming that you would want to keep both those models I would use the following:
Goreshade
- Deathjack
- Reaper
- Slayer
Bane Knights (min)
Tartarus
Mechaninthralls (min)
Necrosurgeon
(1 point short )
Keeps using most of the stuff from the starting points already in the articles here and here. Adds in the Bane Knights but this keeps Tartarus busy cursing for them until the feat is popped. The spell Shadowmancer keeps the jacks safe and Soul Gate can be used on the mechanithralls if needed.
High defense: curse from Tartarus and the spell Hex Blast should reduce the value. (If you are really in the mix deathwalker can help as well but not the best idea)
High armour: Dark Shroud and weapon masters will deal.
Infantry machine: Tartarus and the Necrosurgeon should keep the units topped up and after you add models to a unit they can attack if the unit hasn't activated that turn already.

I don't normally take Dj in 35 point lists unless we are talking e skarre or morty. And even then there can be other jacks brought in place that preform well

That's a very noble sentiment, please rescind my suggestion for two Warwitch Sirens. Are 'we' encouraging people to magnetise their plastic warjacks? If so I think it's pretty safe to suggest duplicate warjacks made from the plastic kit so long as we don't recommend taking more than three. I still swear by a pair of Slayers. MkII revolutionised Slayers, they were the worst Helljack in MkI and probably one of the worst heavies in the game. In MkII they're one of the best Helljacks IMO.
malfred wrote:What's the full list you have in mind?
I wasn't, but If I must I would recommend pGoreshade lists contain at least some of the following.
Ogrun Bokur: Yes I know Goreshade's got stealth. The Ogrun Bokur will save your life with Shield Guard - fact! Get used to taking him in every list, A Bokur costs three points your caster will cost the game.
Bane Knights: If your going down the Banelord Tartarus route then you should take something for him to buff before Goreshade feats. Still a good solid unit in MkII IMO.
Darragh Wrathe: A one man toolbox, this guy is a complete bargain at 4 points. Get him, don't bother about the Soulhunters, that's just gravy.
Bile thralls: (minimum six man unit only) Still the best quarterbacks in the game. Enemy infantry in your face? Purge!!! Problem solved. Don't be afraid to let some of your own infantry take one for the team if it kills of a lot of enemies at the same time.
Essentially I think the pGoreshade/Deathjacks combo is a trick list at 35 points. I'm not saying that people who field 'trick lists' are bad people (even though they are ) but it is a trick and if you play someone who knows the trick they will beat you, a lot. Deathjack could be an awfully expensive desk ornament for a comparatively new player.
