Hi guys, I can't find anything on the internet to do with this topic. So....

My drill bit snapped and I am looking to buy another one.

The drill bit that snapped is the smallest one that comes with the army painter model drill but I have no clue what the size of the drill bit is. Does anyone know?

So if anyone knows where I could buy one such drill bit and what size drill bit I need to buy?

Thank You

Generally I find that 1mm is the most common one, but I don't think it is the smallest/

If it is like this Hobby Drill then it should be 1mm. The kit says it comes with "1 Hobby Drill" and that's what I linked to you. So, I would assume it is the 1mm bit.

You could take the broke bit to a hardware store and try to match the diameter of the bit or ask a clerk. They usually know the sizes. It still looks like a 1mm bit.

I would suggest the same.

They should have a means of measureing the broken bit (it looks like a plate of metal with a bunch of little holes in)

Doesn't it say on their website? Alternatively, pin vise drill bits are the same across the board. companies usually just purchase rights to put their name of the product, like GW with knead-a-tite.

Any hobby store that deals in trains and such will carry them. Just do a search for pin vise drill bits. You'd be amazed what google can turn up.

If it's 1mm you can measure it with a ruler. Smaller bits will be difficult to measure without a gauge.

If you are doing pinning, 1mm will work for nearly everything you want to pin, because the cement will fill any remaining space in the drill hole.

A good ironmonger will sell a pack with bits in various sizes. These aren't as useful as you might think, since most of the sizes lower than 1mm are only useful for precision engineering.

You can buy small size drill bits at B&Q and online.

That's what I went to check but it didn't have the bit sizes. It just said, "comes in 5 sizes"
