As the name suggests, what is the best (or better choice) of special units? I haven't chosen a lord/hero yet because i think that the choice i make will affect the special units (i.e. getting a lord on pegasus will take out the 0-1 restrictions of pegasus knights, not having one will, etc). Also, i cant get anything too pricey too often, so i can get questing knights, but not as often as i like.

									They each have their uses.
Pegasus Knights and Mounted Yeomen fill the same general roll, Fast Cavalry. The PK are much more durable and better in melee, and a bit more maneuverable due to Flying. Mounted Yeomen are cheaper (and therefore expendable), and can shoot. Use both in the typical Fast Cav role, with the PK able to actually kill a bit bigger things in the doing.

Questing Knights are nice in certain situations, where you need a unit of knights to deliver heavy hitting power over multiple turns. They are also good for taking on Fear-causers due to their special rules.

The Grail Reliquae has rather limited use, now that any sufficently large unit can be counted as Stubborn (via Steadfast). However, a small unit will still be Stubborn, so there are some tactical uses for it still. Too bad it is so expensive, thought...

I definitely find peg knights the best special choice. Wicked fast, hits hard, survivable, now has a stomp for being mc. A little expensive but they Excel as hunters.

Yeomen are, hands down, the best special slot. Their presence in the game changes the whole dynamic of the game.
Baitnflee relegates even the fastest units to a max 6 inches of movement allowing you to out-maneuver, and relegate the most elite units to useless. (Remember that feeing with a unit of peg knights costs you the blessing of the lady... she's not a fan of cowards)

Counter-charge-block-sacrifices are manditory in a top flight Brett army, in case your charge bounces.

Pinching a unit (threatening to charge a unit from both the flank and the front) with 2 lances of knights just about requires a sacrifice from a cheap unit of Yeomen.

You can also block an opponent from re-forming with a wel placed unit of yeomen.

The only thing that a unit of pegasus knights does better is combat, but if you're buying a unit of light cav, you don't *want* them in combat unless they are selling their lives for the Grail.

I Like questing knights, simply because they dont bounce off a unit if they dont break it on the charge...

I must agree with Ragnar4, although the pegasus knights are much more beautiful models, the mounted peasants just do so many things for you that your don't want KOTR to do.
Alas, my questing knights always seem to be cut from my lists . . . nice models though
