Are they worth it when the games start getting higher tiered? How should I deck out my Dregs?

My family wants to start playing again, and since I don't want to use my high level Possessed warband I kept from a long time ago, I was thinking an Undead warband would be fun.

Also, are the Lords of the Night Special Rules from Mordheimer worth it?

You might say that I shouldn't use those rules since they aren't in the main rulebook, but my bro's girlfriend is using the Wood Elf Warband from the same site, and that's listed under Experimental Warbands, it isn't balanced at all. I'm just wondering if using those ( Transfixing Glare and Mist Form, namely) would be worth it...
