Where does it say in a current codex that you can take Grey Knights (or Witch Hunters, for that matter) as allies? And what are the restrictions on taking them? I keep seeing 1 HQ, 2 Troops, 1 Elite and 1 FA allowed, but then seeing that one has to take an Inquisitor to take an assassin, or something. I want to find the actual rules, rather than following hearsay.

In the new GK codex, that rule is dead. You can't take anything from the GK codex as allies. And I'm guessing that the rule in the Witch Hunter codex would be right next to the Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord. Interestingly, it does not appear in the PDF, so you'll have to cough up for the hard copy if you want it to be legal.

Allies are from the Daemonhunters codex, and are ommited in the Grey Knights codex. So no more allied Grey Knights to other armies. The Witchhunter codex still has allies though, page 25.

That explains it. I was reading for over an hour on the new GK and couldn't find it anywhere. Figures.
