I just bought Helsreach yesterday while at the bookstore with my fiance along with Storm of Iron.
Good choices? Or should I get my money back??? Also if they are; what are good ones to purchase after I finish these??

I liked helsreach. I agree with purplefood, it was quite good.
I never read Storm of Iron.

SoI is amazing. Nothing but war begging to end. Sooo not alot of depth to the plot but who reads 40k novels for introspection and deep thought? hahaha
Both good choices. Have you read all the HH series yet? I thing first heretic is one of the best ones yet. And if you feel like getting away from all the Imperium fanboyizms i'd advise Fear the Alien. Some very amusing little short stories in there.

Storm of Iron, I felt, was crap.
Helsreach is suposed to be a good one, but I've not read it as I'm not a big fan of the Black Templars.
I will say however that "The Purging of Kadillus" is a fantastic read and an awesome look at Belial before he became Master of the Deathwing.

I was specifically looking for that series but the place I went didnt have it........

Helsreach is a very good read, I prefer it over the lastes SM related books (Hunt for Voldorious etc)
