Okay finding myself qualified to go the the semi finals, and still very new to the game. I have been pushing around a dwarf list that I can be happy with, and wanted to see what the more salty players out there think about the list.

Be harsh, be honest, and be creative in suggestions. I like the artilery here now that I do not have to worry about the storm out there, I have the standards in all units because of the break scenario in order to keep my fortitude score up there.

At a first glance from a newer player it seems like a decent list. My only thought is that for scenario #1 you might be giving up a lot of potential kill points with your cannons, but you look like you should have some good units for catching the fanatic.

I play a similiar list though I rock a-lot more artillery, here are my suggestions for your list. I would get rid of the runic standard of Val. It is alright but overcosted and leaves your thane with only a 3+/-- save. With the points saved from it I would make the thane a little more survivable. Also your runesmith I would drop 1 spellbreaker scroll and pick up the MRoBalance. My reasoning for this is that it is a net swing of 2 power dice which is often huge and with him and thorek you would have +5/-1 dispel/power dice. Also it leaves him with less dice to throw and try to throw irresistable down your throat. I am also not a huge fan of ironbreakers I think hammerers are a better anvil as they remain stubborn to the bitter last and can actuallly kill something in return but that really comes down to different strokes for different folks. Lastly the runes on your cannons bother me as cannons should always have the rune of forging on then with one of the having burning to take care of regeneration. Furthermore immolation rune is less than ideal as I would rather put points into Killy things than a weak insurance policy if my cannons get caught. My theory is if they made it to my cannons than they probably already massacred me and the rare occasion that's not true 2d6 str 4 hits isn't really to immpressive.


I am glad to see another anvil list will be kicking around semis I still need to decide which one I am going to. El paso isn't really near any of them.
