so, my friend is starting an army soon and he wants to play Grey Knights. I obviously have no say in what army he plays, so I have to make my list viable vs. GK

I've heard that GK are the antithesis of Mech armies which my eldar are built around. I have already bought the wave serpents and "footdar" are hard to make viable in a tournament setting.

I came across the denied flank strategy on bell of lost souls (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2010/12/spacecurves-tactics-class-more.html)

I am wondering if this is tactically viable vs. GK.

i-Eldar: there's an aspect for that.

Really depends on what the GK army has in it.
A very situational tactic, and when you've used it once against him, probably won't be as effective second time around.

If he went for Purifier Spam, it would probably work well, unless he keeps all the squads together.
Same for Paladin lists, Could really beat up his big squad a bit, keeping out of range of assault the whole time, and probably out of range of psycannons for a while.

Hope the GK player does not bring "Riflemen" DNs... 4 Str 8 twin linked AC shots each starts to look good against medium transports/tanks like the Eldar use... Honestly, with my GK, I tend to bring more of them to the center of the field rather than a flank due to the more or less standard 24" range on (almost) all of their stuff, so not so sure the "refused flank" would do much good against GKs, at least the way I see them used... 'course, YMMV...
