I want to do some Nurgle themed Bloodcrushers. So I was thinking of trying to replace the Blood letters with.... you guessed it Zombies! Anyone know of any Zombie rider models that would look good doing this? If not I'm thinking I can get some resin models and trying to bend them? Anyone tried something like this? How hard is it to bend resin?

Oh my.

Blood Crushers are Khorne Demons. I don't think that putting zombies on them makes any sense. I also think they would look incredibly strange in pastel green. Sorry to be the voice of dissent.

There are a few zombie models to use, the most obvious is the WHFB line for Vampire Counts:

WARGAMES FACTORY also makes some good ones:

However I might suggest you instead create alternate riders from Plague Marines, Chaos Knights, or Plague Bearers instead because traditional zombies are so spindly and oddly posed to make into riders for massive blood crushers.

The Chaos knight legs in particular will fit on the blood crushers with little modification already AND come in a platic kit. Also chaos marine bikers also have v shaped lowers that might fit onto the mounts. Plage bearers might be a tougher concept.

Good luck.

You could use WHFB cavalry models and use torsos and arms from the zombie kit. That would look pretty good (in a Nurgly way).

Someone posted some Bloodletters quite easily converted to very convincing Plague Bearers. A little green stuff and light converting was all it took. A bigger problem might be what they're riding, bloodcrushers are not inherently very Nurgley.

You could use beast of Nurgle models for the mounts, but that might prove difficult.

Alternately, if money really isn't an issue, you could get some Warhammer Forge plague toads with plaguebearer riders:

Go hard out and make plague bearers riding beasts of nurgle!
You could run them as 'counts as' bloodcrushers or simply do the same thing as Khorne heralds do when you give them a Juggernaut to ride - take the plaguebearer and upgrade the appropriate stats. Note that this will make the slimy green buggers supremely tough and hard to kill...

And the models would look awesome! Some of the old (1996 era) plague bearers were modeled in a wide-legged stance which would lend itself to this project.

Plus you'd likely be the first in the world to introduce... I dunno, call them Sludgecrushers.

Plague Toads is definitely the way forward, those things are horribly gruesome. Blow the expense, they'll look great.

Sorry, but the bloodcrusher just looks waaaaaaaaay too aggressive for something Nurgle created/corrupted. I'd say be crafty and make your own. This just looks thrown together and not at all well done.

I think the rider, physically looks pretty good! The paint job is a little course, I assume it is a WIP, but for a play model, I think that's a fine piece as is!

Well done.
