Hey everyone,

Have you heard of something significant happening with blister packs? GMI (my local game shop) is encouraging everyone to buy the blisters they want because GW is going to be changing the whole way they do things... Rumours of them going to boxed sets of metal like Eldar are floating around. I just wanted to see if anyone from a different store has any information.

Thanks!

It's been pretty solidly established that the big change you're hearing about is GW is switching from metal to resin. Check the rest of the forum for details.

I didn't realize the two were the same. Thanks for the heads up--I'm going to check out the forums to see details on this.

Absolutely not going to boxed metal sets like Eldar, since they just discontinued all the Eldar metal boxes.)

All metal is on 'sell down', a term meaning 'You can get it while supplies last, which might be a lot or very little'. Once gone, it also shouldn't be availabe from mailorder. That would just be the normal 'Moving to Direct Sales'.

Buy those metal bits that you need now, and help your FLGS get ready for the next big thing, whatever that may be. We get told may 16th.

Might just be a set of sculpting tools and a pound of greenstuff.)

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

That's the best guess anyone could give right now, anyway. Sure to be an interesting transition, to say the least.

I had no idea metal was on sell down right now... I just hadn't noticed. To me it would make more sense to go to resin (if the current molds will work) because the price of all metals just continues to rise.

I need to get out of the office more.
