Have a bunch of old Genestealers, the previous model style, that I'm converting to aquatic bugs.
The problem is mine are all that blue plastic that was used in...I think the old Space Hulk? And it's a pain in the ass to try to cut compared to the standard plastic.
Did they make Genestealers that were the 'normal' plastic, or did they just use these ones for everything?

The macragge ones were grey plastic.
Easy enough to convert (yes, the older blue plastic WAS harder) as I added scything talons to my ones (I use them for my Spacehulk set - the new game hadn't been released yet, and I lost all of my original 30 genestealers years ago).

Yes, the first TWO editions of the game used the same genestealer sprues - only the terminators changed (and then they became the default terminator plastic box models for years before they were redone in better multipart kits).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Might as well ask here before making a new thread in the other forum:

Anyone have any of the old grey ones they want to trade for the old blue ones? 20-24 would probably be good.

Just a confrmation that all monopose Genestealers up to 3rd edition were blue.
And nobody will trade new Genestealers for old ones.

I scored my genestealers in a 2nd hand grab bag.
Then again, I get a lot of my 40kays second hand.
It's cheaper.
It had a mix of SH 1.0 and macragge ones in it. I was after around 30 of them, and wasn't going to pay $35 for 8 of them. Getting 30 for $15 was a better price.

There are tournaments/conventions I attend PURELY for the 2nd hand bring&buy rooms. I don't play there (I can't get the entire weekend away), just shop.

Damn.
Though at least now I know that the ones I want don't exist. Saves me a lot of looking.
