Lady of the Lake

Recently decided to strip some Tau I've had laying around for a while and paint them up to fight my brother's growing Dark Eldar army.
Now they're followed by a pine scent.

Firstly some Firewarriors to test the scheme. Being Tau I thought they'd probably benefit more from being camouflaged, though went the plainish white route for infantry.

Looks like I need to redo the lens on the left one.

Next up I had a Crisis suit a friend had given me for free. Some of you may have seen it before when I tried to give it feet in the form of smoke launchers.
Stripping was fun though, turns out it had been gold, silver, green, red and blue during its life time; but not all at once.

As I'm pretty new at painting camouflage, I'm pretty interested in C&C for these test models.
I'm also interested in any ideas for how I could make a more Arctic display board as if I just flocked it like the bases nothing would sit flat and I'd rather be able to place the models anywhere on it instead of having holes for them so it could accommodate any other models I do later with the same base scheme. Thanks in advance.

The Fallen Realm of Umbar

The end of the pulse rifles looks a bit chalky and imo there is too much snow on the base, but that's probably just me. Nice models all round mainly that Crisis battlesuit, did they perhaps taste the sweet air of freedom?

What did you use for snow on your bases? I've been trying to find a way to base my fantasy WoC army, and this looks like what I'd want to use too.

Thanks guys.

I'm using GaleForce Nine's snow flock, but mixing it up like this tutorial to get the effect. Pretty much any powder based snow flock should be able to get the effect, the GW stuff won't however as it's more of a white static grass of disappointment.
