The high seas, a Cursed ship, Bottle of rum in hand.

Using this list today, so any advice would be useful. I will be using it forthwith as well, so any advice for future games would be most welcome.

I am up against Kroot BTW, with a battlesuit commander (Kroot in a battlesuit), 1 squad of fire warriors (Kroot with rail rifles) adn a pirahna (You guessed it, crewed by Kroot)

Lose the Mega armour on the warboss, otherwise he is going to be walking very slowly up to the enemy, give him PK and cybork body instead, that way he always gets a save, but remains mobile.

Your troops choices are somewhat lacking, get rid of the 'ard boyz and get another mob of 20 boyz, minimum you may have to do some re-working to get them in there.

Your killa kanz are going to be rubbish, I assume you have 1 mob of 3, look at the guns, your either going to be wasting anti-tank shots on infantry or anti infantry on tanks.

Lose the grabbin klaw, ram, RPJ from the looted wagon, with a boomgun you want it to be as stationary as possible (remember, it's a gun platform not a transport!)

I agree with leigen_zero, drop the ard boyz upgrade and the mega armor to add in another squad of boyz. I would also pick a definite theme for the army if you want to be decently competitive in games. Seeing the lack of any real heavy support you could really go anyway with this list. My two favorite ork builds are the kan wall and battlewagon rush. Example kan wall is

HQ
2 Big Meks w. KFF

Elites
3x 5 loota

Troops
min 3x 20man boy squads

Fast Attack
2x deffkoptas w. tl rokkits and buzzsaw

Heavy Support
3x 3 kans w. rokkits

I'll post a battlewagon list when I get to school

Hmm. Ok, Good advice (though i cant edit it for todays fight) I'll remeber that for next week.

I'm palnning on using the Kustom blasta against decicated transports, before using my Anti Infantry on the unit inside. I will of course (as i am Borrowing the Kans) be replacing my weapons, But its all good for now.

As for the kan walll list- I will not Drop My Kommandoz. Eventually, I plan on having a Blood axe Force- Kommandoz and Kamo orks Away!

Also, i Preffer 'Ard boyz to regular ones. Why should i Drop them?

Even when you do have lots of points to spend, ard' boyz is a useless upgrade IMO as theres way too much AP4 weaponry running around. Its better to have a redundant unit of normal boyz rather than a more expensive, yet easy to kill unit

And what do you suggest i spend the relavant loss of about 80 pts on? More Komandos and a Power Klaw for Gitsmack?

Actually, that sounds fun... Do i have enough Kommando models though.

No, just checked. I ahve 11. 2 Boxes of them, and a Kustom made Komando Nob (From a Nob model i got for free. I made him into Gitsmack)

Honestly I would drop the dread and then you can add in another mob of 20 boyz

Think about this, you cannot shoot both a transport and a unit inside it in the same turn, in your scenario (with a single mob of 3 mixed weapon kanz) vs space marines in a rhino.
-Shoot at rhino
-KMB is effective, Big shoota and grotzooka useless, but according to BRB they have shot
-Rhino is destroyed, marines disembark, grotzooka and big shoota cannot shoot at marines as they have already 'shot' at rhino (despite being ineffective).
-Marines then get a full turn of activity before they can be shot at by grotzooka/big shoota.

Now then, if you take ditch the deffdread and take 2 squads of 2 kanz, one squad armed with KMB and one with grotzookas, you can shoot the KMB at the rhino, then fire the grotzookas at the disembarked marines. So the marines don't get a full turn of activity before you can shoot them!

I plan to keep my dred. I like the sheer Killy power, and i'm playing a list with less anti-tank power than a squad of 30 Gretchin. I.E none. However, i want to thank you for your advice anyhow.

I guess we are players with very different styles, because i love Ardboyz. I am always playing Either Kroot, Vanilamarines or gauntspam nids, so i like the efact i get a save from their ranged weapons.

But again, thanks for the help.

What was the point of posting anything if your not willing to actually take anyones advice? I mean if you played any decent list your army would come apart at the seams and be torn to shreds, yet when people try to help fix it, you disregard their advice

More regular boyz are always a better choice than Ard Boyz.

You could have saved yourself and others time by posting your list and saying "I'm going to play this list no matter what you say, because it's my style" as opposed to "any advice would be useful".

If the ard boyz received a 3+ armor save, i'd take it in a heart beat. But with only the 4+ it isn't a worth while upgrade. Just dropping that upgrade will give you enough points to get a decently sized mob, if you don't want to remove anything else.

You know what, your list isn't "solid", but it's got character. Most people will just tell you to use standard units like Lootas, not to get 'Ard boyz, and basically don't get this, get that, which is great but if everyone did that then most ork lists would look almost identical.

keep the Dread and the Kammandos if you like them. Try and get some more boyz if you can find the points for them, and try and even out the Killa Kanz would be my advice (give them all the same weapon).

You don't have to lose the dread, personally I love deffdreads, it's just those killa kanz in their current formation are going to be wasting a lot of points, there is only one unit that can be both anti-tank and anti-infantry in the same turn, and that is SW long fangs. Split them into smaller squads (2 squads of 2). You'll thank us for it later!

Yea, but that means droppin da looted wagon. Now, i would do that, if not for the effectiveness of the anti-infantry i offers.

As for disregarding your advice, im not actually doing that. I'm telling you my next few games are against that type of army. then i will consider your advice for 2 or 3 weeks on saturday, which is when i'm aactually going to a G.W, not my local gaming club.

At which point i plan on splitting my kans, mobbin my boyz and gettin more Kommandoz. I'm against an I.G player very fond of artillery... and 1st rank "nd rank.

*shudders at thought of my boys getting squashed by I.G basilisks*
