So i purchased a sanguinius model of the internet a few weeks back and painted it up. I have been using it as a stand in for the sanguinor who is currently my reigning champ of hqs for my army. I play a successor chapter called the thunder angels and he technically is my chapter master. That being stated i was wondering what other people thought about the mutation that gave sanguinius his wings. It is stated in the codex and some other fluff that the mutation has yet to manifest itself again since the primarch. So the story is that my young chapter master was a brother sgt who eventually fell into the black rage and fought through it. Once he came back to his senses he started growing the wings, gaining strength ect. at around the same time the current chapter master fell in battle, and the sgt was elevated to chapter master by the chaplains librarians and priests. What do you guys think? go easy it is fluff of my creation LOL

I cant see anyone going straight from sgt to chapter master. you'd have to be a captain, then company captain at least before going to chapter master, i would have thought.

yea that made more sense but i wanted it to manifest in him early on in his career. and i figured if a blood angel successor chapter had a marine grow wings like their primarch it might make a huge deal. like the events in the omnibus only not tainted with chaos
