Hey guys, I have the foundation of a story (Fan Fiction) with pretty much the same idea in all of the versions, but I've twisted it with some races, and tested the ideas a bit, but I' am torn between which race to choose to be the "Antagonist-Race," though I have narrowed it down to the four options in the poll (Sorry Necrons, I just couldn't find a way to incorporate you into the story, because I had to choose a... "Killable" race ). I won't give any details, nor will I give any piece of information until I have started writing... by then the story may be devoid of readers, since it hasn't started, but if you would, just keep an eye for it, as I will announce when I have begun writing. One thing though: I will try to be as accurate to the fluff as possible, I don't want to set anyone off because I made a mistake in the description of the color scheme of a Space Marine chapter, for example.

I may start writing over the summer, just to give you guys a time to expect it.

Also, the reason there is no title is because it kind of depends on the "Antagonist-Race."

Finally, please don't be disappointed as to how I use some of the races, don't get too angry with me if I use them in a way that you think is out of character.

EDIT: The story will be about Tyranids, so, if the option to vote is still available, go ahead and vote, but it won't affect the story from now on.

They are all kinda different...
Tyranids are alien and unknowable-Anything they do has no real emotion behind it.
Chaos are full of hate and want to kill/convert everything
Dark Eldar are motivated by personal power and prestige-They won't do anything unless there is something in it for them
Orks do everything for fun and occasionally for revenge
Depending on what your story is the race you choose will have a very different effect on it...

I'm well aware of that, and I have a different story for each race, two of them, though, not exactly as you described, and two of the storylines fairly similar to each other, but not exactly.

I'm always a fan of seeing Chaos as the enemy in almost any fiction, to me they are the most dynamic of all adversaries in the WH40k universe.

Don't get me wrong, I love Orks, DE, Nids, and the like, but no matter what it always seems that they're after the same thing. Orks always want to have a WAAAGH!, DE want power, and Tyranids just want to kill everything. With Chaos you have not only the Chaos undivided, but the motivations of the four Gods as well. Some of the greatest fan fiction I've read has been about the motivations of the Champions of Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, and Khorne.

But in the end it's up to you, as purplefood said they all bring something different to the table.

They are very versatile, and also allow for obcene gore, horrific scenes and violent comedy
