Last Night, I played a game for kill points aganist my friend Ethan whos fields Necrons and we ran across a problem. Ghaz and his Nobz assulted his 10 man Warrior squad. The Nobz with out any power weapons killed 1 Warrior. Then the PKs came in and insta-killed the rest of the squad. Then he rolled his WWB for the one Warrior that was not insta-killed and he missed it. Then he rolled for his monolith portal, 3 out of 9 Warriors made it and joined the nerest unit which was a 15 man squad with a Necron Lord. So my question is that, since that squad doesn't exist anymore do I get the kill point for it? Thanks Dakka!

Was the unit within range of a Res orb when they were killed? If not, then the warriors killed by power weapons could not try to come back at all (even through the 'Lith) unless that 3/9 were different than the ones killed by power weapons

As for your question though, in the Necron codex they say to count unit size in terms of victory points, etc based off the unit starting size vs it's size at the end of the game. That unit started at 10, and at the end was 0. Thus a kill point. The unit they joined started at 15(16), then at the end they were size 18(19).

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

I'm not familiar with 'WWB'. Is it anything like WBB?

IF the entire unit were wiped out, and there was no like squad within 6" (or a tomb spider within 12", and a like unit anywhere) then NO WBB rols can be made, even if a res orb is around.

That too.

Also, if the entire unit was wiped out, then you don't have a valid unit to teleport through the monolith to being with. Only a unit teleporting through the 'Lith allows models in that unit who were eligible, but otherwise fails their WBB roll a 2nd chance. So under the case fo the OP, with out better clarification on the situation, I don't think any model in the unit could have tried to come back. However as to the general question if an entire unit is wiped out, but models come back via WBB and join a new unit, the original unit now numbering 0 models does give up a KP.

I agree with kryhavok, if the entire unit of warriors was wiped out and no others were nearby then they were gone, and even if there was another squad of warriors nearby the original squad would not benefit from portaling.
