I just need a little clarification. The Rapid Fire rules state that models firing Rapid Fire weapons cannot assault in the Assault Phase. The word models tells me that a unit can still assault, but the Rapid Fire models who shot would not get attacks. Now, looking at the assault rules it states: units who shot with rapid fire weapons are not allowed to assault. That tells me it doesn't matter if there are models without Rapid Fire weapons. If a Rapid Fire model shoots the whole unit is no longer allowed to attack. It seems I'm at an impasse here.

If one model is not allowed to assault then the whole unit moves at the speed of the slowest model and can not assault.

This is why CSM and SM have Bolt Pistols, fire those instead of the Bolters and then assault freely.

If any model in the unit fires a rapid fire weapon, the unit may not assault (unless they have a special rule that allows it)
Same as if any model in a unit moves, the unit may not fire heavy weapons (unless relentless)
