A the title suggests, i'm looking for people and clubs near to Bournemouth and Poole in England, UK to meet up with.

I'm a reasonable painter (here are a few examples http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/362862.page )

I'm looking to get back into 40k/Infinity/Hordes/War Machine/Flames of war and looking for like minded people to enjoy the game(s) with.

Anyone on here live nearby that could use an honest, keen enthusiast? Let me know..

Hey Empathic,

Thursday night in GW Poole is usually really good. I've only just started going along myself. I was lucky in that the first night I went I recognised quite a lot of people from work.

I live in Poole and my mate - Incurus - lives in Bournemouth, we started collecting at the same time and have been learning the rules together - we're both at about 1000 points - looking to move to 1500pts soon.

If you fancy meeting up, I'm sure we can arrange something...

The Exiles League is the only one I can find in Bournemouth and Poole. They seem to meet officially at GW Poole, so non-GW games are out. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were possible to organize games at people's homes in alternate systems.

It's odd, because my memory tells me that there was another independent club in Bournemouth with a focus on historical wargames, but I can't find any information about them.

If you're interested in starting your own club or if anyone at the Exiles League would like help and advice in finding an independent venue, drop into the GCN forum for a chat and some help.

R.

Thanks guys,

I'm looking for a non-GW club that I can go to, as well as my local GW store.

Currently hunting google for such a club, hopefully I will find one!

I'd also like to find people locally who are up for painting together, as I think that is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the hobby.

Let me know if you are interested and live near the Bournemouth/Poole/Ferndown areas

Bournemouth

There is a gaming club in Bournemouth, and new members are always welcome

http://bmthwarriorslodge.co.uk/index.php

We meet every thursday 6-11pm, at the Premier Inn, where we rent a fairly large conference room/hall

We do charge to attend though, first session however is free, then its £5 a night for non-members, £3 for memebers, membership is £12 for 12 months, but since renewal time is in september (i think) it would be £4 or £5 to join right now (if that makes sense)

Mostly 40k is played, with some fantasy, and some battlefleet gothic, i believe there are some war machine players as well, possibly some other games as well, you'd have to ask other memebers if you were to come down, we also have a fair selection of scenery available for use
