So here is the models i've already got, if any body could help me incorporate these into a 1000 pt list i would be very grateful, but it needs the potential to expand to 1500 pts.

Warboss, PK,BP. 90pts.

9 Nobz, 2xPK, 2xBP, combi-burna, B.choppa. 250pts.

20 slugga boyz, 2 big shootas 130pts.

3 Deffkoptas, all with T.L. rokkits 135pts

1 painboy 30pts.

total 635pts.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I've also got a deff dread with, a extra close combat weapon + rokkits at 100pts.

Ditch the boss pole on the Boss, give him Heavy armor instead and a Attack Sqig.

Nob in the slugga boyz with a PK. Make them 'Ard boys if your gonna shoot with them. They are your campers, so get them in cover on a home objective and fire away. Expect to miss alot.

Give all your Nobz PKs, no choppas. Choppas can't get through armor. Give them all combi if you have points to toss. Give them 'Ard armor if they are foot slogging because people are gonna light them up.

More boys with a Nob with a PK. Like 2 more squads of 20-24. Alot of people say 30 boyz per squad.

Big Mek with Kustom Force Field. Mek allows the Dread as a troop slot, so throw it in.

Lootas to sit under that force field. Look at 7 with 3 Meks in there with Kustom Mega Blasters.

Battle Wagons past that, at least one to put your Nobs, Boss, and Painboy in. If you take more, drop your squads down to fit in them (I believe they can hold 20 boyz if they don't have the killkannon). Rollers are a must on the wagons.

Run the Deffkoptas in units of 1 to not worry about leadership tests.

Hope this helps.

cheers for the advice. Boys are defiantly next on the to buy list.

I like the units of one idea. as they would also have to have different units shooting at each as well.

Don't necessarily run all PKs on your Nobz. Yeah, it's a hard punch, but generally 27 PK attacks is overkill, no matter what you're going against. The Big Choppas, with the +2 Str, give you a good punch at Initiative, and even a chance to glance AV13 or pen AV12, good if you're fighting a Drednaugh with them, and somewhat unexpected. Also, Waaagh!! banners are incredibly useful in Nob squads, especially if your Warboss is attached. You look like you're going Green Tide, so yeah, more boyz is always good.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!

^ you don't play nids much do you ... i needs all the pk's i can stuf finto my army. also good against terminators and the likes.

I always say run a pk in each boys group and boys groups of at least 20 (unless i jsut have some extra points to fill and am being lazy)

as said boss ploe on a warboss is useless, put it on a nob.

it basically looks liek you have a blackreach box set , with more nobs and a painboy, its a good start to an army. try getting some games in if this is the case proxyign the terminators and such for sdifferent units to see how they handle, heck i still proxy my blakc reach dread as a deff dred with a kmb and 3 ccw's

more boys is a great place to start, then determine what you like using and go from there. most people like lootas so maybe after a few boys boxes get some lootas if you like em, but only it you decide they work for you

Only thing Choppas give you is Init, but your Init sucks. Claws double your Str (so 8s) and on a charge give you a 9, which can pop a AV 14 on a 6. Anything that doesn't have a PK is something you use for casualities. 27 PK attacks is not overkill, because your not hitting with every attack, and you may even fail to wound with those attacks. So your really looking at around 10 of those attacks actually hitting. And if they have a invulnerable save (like SS/TH TDA), you might only get 5 hits in.

This unit is your nutcracker, you want them to be able to fight any other unit, vehicle, or named character (or all three) in the game and walk away afterwards to attack something else. Getting them to melee will be your hardest task (thus the Wagon with boarding planks and a roller). I do have to agree on the Waaagh banner though, that is an excelent choice for this unit. But yeah, this will be your most expensive unit.

I don't like boss poles in my nob unit because I don't want to be killing a guy every time I want to re-roll leadership... it is counter productive.

You do know that the Boss Pole hit is saveable, right? And not at Double Toughness either- the Bosspole nob isn't using his PK, just smakkin' em up a bit. Shouldn't be killing anyone unless you have a wound on every model.

Anybody who gives all nobz in boyz units a PK is normal.

Anybody who gives 9 nobz a PK each is going to lose in 1000 points

^ i have a magenobs list with 12 meganobs at 1250 points... that list is undefeated atm (2W 2T 0L) the pk's make for some fun and hit hard but on regular nobs with less of a save they are likely gonna be a waste for 9 of em, still on a group of 9 nobz i'd do 3klaws

I prefer shoota, and a lot of the mathammer folks will tell you there's a statistically better chance of doing more wounds with them, but it really depends. Will you be in transports, and aren't planning on using your Waaagh!! to get them into assault range? Probably better go with Shootas. Are you footslogging, and are usually going to use your Waaagh!! to get them into assault range? Go with Sluggaboyz. If you're taking Ghazzy, I'd probably go with Sluggas, if you're doing any heavily mechanized lists, or Kan Wall, I'd go with Shootaz.
