I'm dying to run a looted wagon list so I can use the boom guns.
But I'd also not like to be walking in to the game with a loss already assumed.
You guys have any advice for making a semi-competitive boomgun list?

If anything you should take more than one. If you take just one your opponent will focus all shots at it to make sure that it doesn't get to shoot.

Yeah, I was thinking two since that's what I have in models, but I could proxy up to four.

3x Looted Wagon w/ boomgun, ard case, riggers.

i don't think you can field 4 as limited to 3 heavy support but 3 would be an interestign base for an army. maybe wagons, bikers, warbiggies koptas list

hard at 1k though /shrug but 3 looted wagons or even 2 in a all mek list would be cool

I love artillery orks. I destroyed the crap out of my friend's necrons in a 1500 pt matchup with my Orktillery army. Try this:

HQ:
Warboss- PK,AS 100

30x boys w/ PK/BP nob 220
30x boys w/ PK/BP nob 220
10x gretchin w/ runtherd. 40

Heavy Support:
Looted wagon- Boomgun,armor plates 115
Looted wagon- Boomgun,armor plates 115
Looted wagon- Boomgun,armor plates 115

Elites:
5x lootas. 75

If you really want to bring the hurt, swap the lootas and grots for a SAG big mek.
