I have been painting for year and have meaning to get some images up here, but this is my first time photographing my work.

For now I am just going to be putting completed work up here, but starting so I should put up some WIP pieces as well

Starting out I have my Ork army. Most of this was painted a few years back. What you see here is about 2/3ds of the army with the rest being in various stages of in progress.

My Boys

(As a note I know I need to drill out my barrels. When I painted these guys I hadn't even heard of doing that.)

My Big mek with his KFF and burna.

Grots

Bikes

Really like your orks quite a bit! (especially the Big mek ) But are you planning on basing any of the boys?

You're not playing the game like I play it...why aren't you playing the game like I play it?! O_O

I think really good and a basing them would make the black pop on the orks

Loving the Bloodcrushers and Flamers. The placement and gradient of the minimal color used really gives the feeling of black body radiation. That first Bloodcrusher, especially, feels like partially cooled lava.

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

Thanks Oadie, the cooling lava looks is exactly what I was going for. My bloodletters are painted/going to be painted the same way. I have only done 6 so far, but even from the first one I can see my results getting better.

Looking at my Daemons, should I go back and add little bits of flock for dead grass? Seeing the pics my models look very monochromatic and I am wondering if I should mix it up a bit. Thoughts?

Here are a few WIP pics.

Bloodthirster modeled from a Balrog with some defiler armor plates:

Nobz made from WHFB Black orks and bits from other Ork Boy kits.

I haven't been doing any painting at all this week. Right now I am preparing for a local painting contest starting in January so I am prepping as many models before then as possible. The chaos terminators are just about done. I need to find two more bases for them as they were all on the small round bases from 3rd edition. I want to have a few pics of them up tomorrow.

The Chaos dread has been stripped of paint and I am now trying to get rid of an obscene amount of Zap-A-Gap that is crusted over the legs. The striking scorpions have also had their old paint removed and I am looking to do some repairs before basing them.

Digging through old boxes of models is like Christmas. After I has stripped all of the nurglings, 65 of the little pus buckets, I realized I had no proper bases for them. Well low and behold I found more than enough of the square bases for all of them. Now I am staring at the pile and thinking, when the heck am I ever going to field 16 nurgling bases?

I like the paint scheme on your looted wagon. I'll do similiar on mine.

More orks and Dark Angels in the P&M section. Feel free to leave a comment, trash it, cheer me up, lurk or : http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/423220.page#3790852

Well all ten terminators are fully assembled and based, but the gloomy weather is completely preventing me from taking even decent pictures. So I am off to my FLGS to play a few games!

I got a couple of shots of the WIP terminators. I tried to make them look sufficiently Nurgle related. The plan for bases is to try and make it look swampy. The shots aren't very good, but it's all I have for the moment.

The paint scheme on the looted wagons have given me an idea. I'm planning chaos for my next army. So the idea would be to magnetize the symbols and have a rhino for both armies.

Magnetize a boomgun for the roof when its looted and orky, and then change that with chaos symbols when its a rhino.

It has been a while since I have posted, but I have been busy. With the advent of 6th edition I have spent quite some time painting the CSM's I have and adding to them.

My Sorcerer

Terminators

Obliterators:

Plague Marines:

Epidemius:

and a Defiler:

Next on the painting table I have another squad of Plague Marines primed and ready to go, an ancient (12+ year old) Great unclean one is stripped and needs some green stuff work, and a squad of havocs is waiting for a few autocannons to arrive in the mail. Stay tuned for more updates.

Quick update: The second squad of plague marines is nearing completion and should be done within a day or two. I am working on my OSL with this squad. The first two guys turned out ok, but I was really pleased with the way the two plasma guns turned out.

What does everyone think of the new Plaguebearers? I am not sure if I like them more than the converted ones I have, but that may be based on the paint job shown in the WD. Part of me wants to get them for extra bits and so I can have a squad that is based the same as my CSM.

Here is a WIP shot of my Autocannon Havocs. I need to GS them to cover up the concave areas and to add more bits to make them look more sinister in general.

Plague Marines should be finished soon. Pics will follow.

With school starting back up I haven't had as much time to paint, but I guess if I wan't to keep buying things to paint I also need to work.

Havocs with converted autocannons.

The rest of the individual pictures didn't turn out very good, but if you want to look at them in my gallery.

I also completed a Great Unclean One.
