Im fairly certain Im just mixing it up with the OLD rending rule but I just want to get it strait. The gargoyles have blinding venom, and on a roll of a 6 to hit, cause an auto wound. This still allows an armor save yes? It doesnt say it ignores saves, so Im assuming that yes,, armor saves still apply and Im just mixing up old rending rules.

It is just a normal wound. Its essentially "poison" from WHFB

They're normal wounds- saves, FNP, and whatever else still apply. You just skip the rolling to wound step with those attacks.
