Part 1
There he stood, amidst his brothers in the glory of battle. He smiled as the fumes of war engulfed him, the smoke of the cleansing flames and the exhaust of the ancient machines of enveloping him. He began to cough on the fumes of war, and after a brief fit he cleared his throat and resumed surveying the battle. From across his position on the hill he could spy them, the vainglorious Eldar, fruitlessly defending their precious holding. An of exchange blue and yellow projectiles clouded the rocky ground of the planet. Chapter Master Badias Assius of the Supermarines had requested the aid of a nearby task force of White Scars. Beside him stood Commander Kisoto of the White Scars, solemnly viewing the gore strewn field.
"Jackie Khan," Master Assius began, "Send in your bikes to assault the upper plateau. That will give my men enough time to safely cross the ridge."
"As you request Master Assius," Kisoto replied, with an unpleasant expression on his face, "But would it not be wiser to simply order an orbital strike on the position, lest we needlessly endager our brothers?"
"You will do as I command, Jackie Khan," Assius replied, without averting his eyes from the battlfield.
"Very well," responded the commander, "And my name is Kisoto."
Commander Kisoto gave the order and immediately several squadrons of bikes surged towards the enemy artillery. Riding vailiantly into the enemy formation, many battle brothers fell before the piercing shurikens of the combined Eldar firepower. Assius pointed and chortled at a White Scar whose corpse appeared to be in such a contortion as to be clutching his groin. The few bikers that survived the initial charge were striking upon the ridge, volleys of frag grenades and bolter rounds signaling their approach. They descended upon the Eldar support weapon teams, slaughting Xenos with praises to the Emperor on their lips. Kisoto smiled; this day belonged to the White Scars.
"This is taking forever," sighed Assius, "We'll go with your plan." He ordered an orbital strike on the plateau. A pause, then instantly the remaining dozen battle brothers were vaporized in a pillar of blinding light, withering them into ash where they stood. Kisoto could only stare in horror as his fellow warriors perished in their moment of glory.
"Come, Jackie Khan. We must join our brothers," Assius began down the hill and ushered for Kisoto to follow, "Sorry, I mean my brothers. Yours are dead."
Kisoto followed with a sigh, "My name is Kisoto."
