What Imperials do with soulstone from fallen Eldar warriors?
I doubt that they simply break it, as that would result in feeding Slaanesh. I think that they:
a) Simply let them there ( where other Eldar can pick them up lather ).
b) Take it with them and give them to Inquisition ( who returns them via Deathwatch ).

I doubt most Imperials know what they are. Most would probably either leave them there to let the body rot, and not care about the soulstone.

Some Inquisitors and Marines know better though. I've heard some stories about how some Inquisitors have attempted to use Soulstones to try and recreated the Eldar soul catching technology.

With the exception of some very high-ranking Inquisitors, I doubt any give Imperial citizen would know anything about soulstones, never mind their relationship with Slaanesh. My guess it that they would find it suspicious and/or unclean and either leave it be or attempt to destroy it.

What good it would be that technology when you don't have a body? or a machine that soul could use?

Could be used to improve the Golden Throne, in my opinion.

Likely they'd destroy it with the body though, can't have any filthy Xenos messing up one of the Emperor's planets after all.

According to Lexicanum it's to try and make some kind of anti-psyker weaponry/detection equipment. Besides, it's the Imperium, we know that if they save your soul onto something they can upload it into a new body (see Pontius Glaw).

I think it goes something like this;

Trooper 1 - 'Excuse me Commissar sir, but I found this on that dead xenos, what should I do with it?'

BANG

Commissar - 'Let that be a lesson to the rest of you!'

BANG

Commissar - 'And that's for looking at the body!'

+1 to this idea. I would imagine a fair few soulstones are kept as trinkets or sold as gems.

There have been some hints that holding onto an Eldar soulstone too long might drive you crazy. Somethng about contact with the soul inside or something. That said, there probably are a few soulstrones being traded around the Imperium.

There is some fluff around somewhere that has an Imperial Governor hoarding Eldar Spirit Stones and wearing them as a jewelry. The upshot of this being that the Harlequins stormed his palace slaughtered his guards, retrieved and returned the spirit stones... after sending the governor on a nice vacation to Commorragh!

So I suppose most Humans would simply go with the 'ohh shiny stones' approach.

Most would leave them, with a few people that think the stones look good would take them. Only to have the Eldar pop up and kill you can nick your stone.
