Haven't collected for years, but been a huge fan of the fluff forever. So I'm approaching this from the view of someone who is horribly out of date with the army rules (specially the
WH,
DH,
GK and Inquisitor armies).
Been thinking about collecting again as Summer approaches and I have a little cash spare. I did enjoy the game, so I'd want my armies to be viable in combat. What do you guys think of these ideas and how they could fit in the rules?
Adeptus Mechanicus Army
The home world army of Adeptus Mechanicus forge worlds.
Skitarii as the troop choice. From reading 'Titan' they seem to be big brutes (bigger then humans), full of implants.
Combat Servitors. Again in 'Titan' these come across as large heavy weapon platforms, usually moving on 4 legs.
Warhound Titan. The smallest mechanized unit available. If anyone can provide ideas for smaller heavy support I'm all ears!
Techno priests and
IG as troop support (trained militia of the planets human population)?
Space Marine Mechanicus Army
A company of space marines who have embraced the teachings of Adeptus Mechanicus, perhaps due to unorthodox number of implants.
So almost robotic looking space marines, accompanying the above said units.
Inquisitor Mixed Army
The idea is an inquisitor needs a large force and has enlisted different trusted acquaintances to create a very mixed company (Eisenhorn inspired

).
You'd end up with a really interesting mixed army with something to unify their look (can be developed in fluff).
Obviously not a new idea but I've struggled to find comprehensive details of what Inquisitors can use.
Inquisitor
HQ
IG troops
Space Marines (
GK is a viable alternative, but would prefer
SM),
SoB
Combat Servitors and Skitarii
Mercenary units (
IG rules?) for w.e is needed
Feedback would be appreciated, even just to say nothing like any of these is possible
