Just put this on CMON. I just got an airbrush not too long ago and this is the first complete model done with it. I'm thinking of trying to sell it on ebay, any idea what I could expect to get for it?

Hard to say what price it could get.

I've seen some rather duff pieces go for insane amounts and some really well painted stuff go relatively cheaply.

I'd start at at least cost+15% (or at least retail, in the case of us Aussies. Where cost is often $45-50 and retail is over $100 ).

If you price it too high, no-one will bid, if it is too low, you run the risk of cutting your own throat.

It's very well painted, but I'm the first to admit I'm cheap, and would not pay top dollar for it (nor am I a proper "collector" who would also pay an insane price for it).

When selling painted pieces, I find that prices can be very difficult to predict. I agree with the above poster's advice. Also, it looks to be a very well painted piece for a popular army--I hope it goes for a nice price.

Looks awesome!
you could get as low as the $50's or as high as the $80's.
it just depends on too many factors to gauge.

Yikes! The kit itself is 60 bucks. I was kind of hoping to make some money on the 30 or so hours I put into it. Thanks for the compliment.

It looks great. I can't help but wonder why you didn't go for the most common Imperial Guard color scheme, green/tan if you were planning on painting it up just to sell it, however. I guess people who are buying models are buying them more for collecting than incorporating them into their armies anyway.

That wasn't the original idea. I fully planned on fielding this army but, um, external forces helped me realize that it should be sold. Sooner than later. And then give her the money before I spend it on something dumb.

EDIT: Actually I was thinking I should finish the army and sell it whole.

Wow man, I realize that was very cryptic and it's not my place to judge but that sounds like a bad, bad case of the old ball and chain. My condolences.

Heh. No, she's right on the money, condolences not necessary. She's much smarter than I am. The airbrush I used to paint this Valk was not discussed prior to my purchasing it, therefore an ROI is in order.

I've got Tau and Thousand Sons too and out of the three IG would be easiest to sell at this point. Plus I am underdog-tropic, and IG is doing well in the meta.

I have an IG battleforce box not yet put together. I think I'll paint them the standard Cadian green and put them up as well.

Haha, I guess that is reasonable then. I've been looking around for a battleforce box on ebay, I'd consider buying it off you if you decide on not painting them. Just throwing it out there.
