Subject: What IG bodies to use?

Wolf Guard Bodyguard in Terminator Armor

Hey guys
Just found a massive stash of Cadian/Catachan arms, heads, Lasguns and other kit however no legs or bodies.
I was thinking of using these to make some PDF troopers however not sure what to use for bodies, would like great coats or somthing simular but cant find any GW models that would fit apart from maybe high elfs (but they are a bit skinny).
Any ideas chaps?

A good go-to has been the Brettonian Peasants, though I'd more likely go with the peasant heads, as they are more characterful than the IG heads.

Just been looking around on the interwebs and found these guys.
60 28mm Napoleonic Grenadiers in great coats. From the sprews there are
4 officers
4 standard bearers
4 drummers
16 firing line, firing, priming and loading
16 march attack with arms fully attached
16 either march attack or advancing at porte/charge
So I am now thinking of giving these chaps lasguns and possibly changing their heads
Any one know if they will look odd next to normal guard figures? Ie will they look very tall and thin?

Yeah, I have them, they are skinny and actually normal compared to 40k, the heads and hands are smaller, and the bodies more slender.

Do you think they will look silly with Lasguns?
Or I might convert the muskets into las-locks

Far to skinny, no, I would shy way away from them, unless you are good with GS, and want to basically rebuild the whole thing, then I would stay well clear tbh.

I second winnertakesall, they are way too small in my opinion. i got some a while back and was tempted to use em put they just looked way out of proportion. If you look on the p&m blogs, someone is using them. Just search "napoleonic" and you should find it. The guy is doing a great job on them, to be fair.

I think WF shock troops would work well, nice minis for the price, although you then get stuck with a load of bits that you dont really want. You could simply buy bodies, legs and heads of catachans and cadians from a bitz site, but I imagine that isnt what you want to go for. possibly look at the brettonian men at arms to look more 'pdf like', as they look like they have been recruited from the local populace.
