Thats 500pts of your army list right there, being destroyed half the time they get penned. Good idea?

I think you're putting too many of your eggs in the same basket. Manties, Executioners, LRBTs are all competitive units, but also costly and very vulnerable to certain unit types.

I recommend exchanging one of the manticore for a pair of griffons, the LRBTs for a pair of hydras, and removing the plasma sponsons on the Executioner.

This way you have your firepower spread out across more units and at a cheaper cost, and guarantees a few lucky shots will not cripple your army.

I didn't mean to use all of them. Mix-match what you want in your army, but taking 1 executioner + 2 battle tanks in one squad and having 2 manticores for your Heavy is a bad idea.

Actually, after using the plasmaboat loaduout and a naked one, I'm thinking that leaving it sponson-less is the best plan. I'm usually only ever getting 1 more shot because of the crappy sponson LOS and opponent trickery, and the 1 more template isn't going to be a dealbreaker.

Hydras are worth their weight in gold, fo sho.

Griffons are meh, I prefer Manticores.

The plasma cannon russes are good but the others are right, you don't want to spend too many points and max out the squad. One fire dragon squad can kill them all easily in one turn and its 500 points. Just the executioner is enough and make sure you have lots of support for it.

Depends on how your army works. If you have a place for them and a plan to implement their abilities then go for it. They're pretty cool i just don't field them... don't trust the Mutant
