Subject: how fast can you move your transport and still disembark?

reading the brb, i couldn’t find anything for how fast you can disembark. being an ork player i was wondering how fast/far i could move my battle wagon, disembark, fleet and then assault...
Another thing i was wondering about is, if i can ram, then explode an enemy vehicle (with the deff rolla on the bw) and then disembark from the battle wagon then kill the contents of that vehicle. any help would be greatly appreciated!

check out the part in the Rulebook about Disembarking.. page 67 also note page 70 as it talks about Open-topped. Reading is fundamental.

It tells you that you cannot embark or disembark any models if the vehicle moves flat out.
So, if you dont move flat out, you can embark or disembark troops just fine.
This is explicitly covered.

So is being polite. This sort of comment is not helpful.
To answer the question, there are no restrictions on how far a vehicle can move and still have a unit embark or disembark, unless the vehicle is Fast. So vehicles can move up to 12" and have the passengers climb our or clamber aboard. Fast vehicles have a restriction that applies if they move flat out. See the 'Fast Transport Vehicles' entry on page 70.

Ork vehicle with Red Paint Job(even trukks, which are fast) can move 13" and disembark; but that is because they can move an extra inch in each movement speed(i.e. 7" for combat speed, 13" for cruising speed, and 19" for Flat out).

glad thats the case, but how about running over other vehicles with the deff rolla, them exploding, and then the orks disembarking and assulting that vehicle's content?

This is fine. Unless, of course, the Orks wind up disembarkled and pinned as a result of the Ram damaging their own vehicle.

That is fine as the BW is not a Fast vehicle and therefore cannot move "Flat-out".
Note: you cannot do this if you give the BW the 'ard-case upgrade, as it will no longer be open-topped and therefore your unit will not be able to assault out of it after it moves.

If you give the BW the 'ard-case you should rather start saving for a landraider and some beakies, if you are afraid of losing vehicles that much

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |
