Hi all,

Im certain many have experienced my present dilemma... acquiring the appropriate bits for WYSIWYG army lists...

You see, my present project is a viable SW list... however, I am finding that in order to acquire bits, I would be required to purchase a number of otherwise-useless to my purpose kits...

I will provide the examples:

Combi-melta/plasma - only available in SM Commander, CSM Term and CSM Term Lord kits...

Cyclone Launcher - vanilla SM Terminator boxed sets...

Anyone else facing a similar dilemma?

Any tips on how to acquire these bits within AUS would be greatly appreciated, as most of the bits suppliers are O'seas and shipping alone makes it almost the same cost as buying entire boxed sets... $10 for a single combi melta/plasma...

Hi there. You could build a combi plas from a bolter and plasma pistol, kinda like an underslung grenade launcher on an m16. I think sternguards come with combi weapons as well. Hope that helps

Thanks for that tip, but I had already considered and mentioned that this will leave me with unnecessary models.

combi flamer is an easy one to make if you need. take a bolter of any type, and the heavy flamer from an IG sprute. cut the bottom two pipes off and glue to the bolter.

As an Aussie myself, I find with a bit of luck and patience Ebay is the place to look.

Their is several local and international sellers that have very good prices and fair postage.

Unfortunetly I don't have any names of sellers for you but just have a look every now and again and you may find a good deal. Good luck

Thanks for that.

Will keep a lookout.

Though, at the moment combi-meltas and cyclones are going for $10 EACH,... plus P&P

Try to get the bits for a Sentinel missile launcher. Gluing one of those on top of a Terminator is an effective way to make a Cyclone.

With combi-weapons as expensive as they are, you gotta convert em. Make combimeltas using inferno pistols from Blood Angels, make combiplasmas with plasma pistols and bolters, etc.

For the Cyclone you have 2 options:

1) Find a guard player, ask him for his sentinel Missile launcher, Shave off the Skull(it will look awkward on the Termie back), Shave down the peg in a contour to match a termies back, Glue it to the termie's back.

2) Buy the 'nilla tac Termies box. buy a SW Termies box, Mix+Match bits to make them both look "Wolfy".

You can use the Same #2 theory with Wolf pack boxes and Tac squad boxes

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

You know, I had never considered the Sentinel option... checking eBay now... OMG! The price of these things is ridiculous...

However, the #2 might help i I ever feel like fielding squads of TDA. I only really wanted the TDA with cyclone options and combi meltas.

Unless Ic an offload the remainder, Im still down 2 cyclones and 3 combi meltas
