So I've been longing after a new Xbox 360 game for a while, but there's just so many to choose from, I was hoping for some recommendations.
I'm looking for something that is-
-Epic on a large scale. There's always alot of awesome stuff going on and it looks cool.
-Big guns. Loud guns. Powerful guns. Unfair guns.
-Robots. I am in love with robot killing.
-Fiction.
-BIG THINGS. Y'know in lost planet? Yeah, something like that
(Obviously not all of these, just saying, that's my kind of game)

You NEED to check out Earth Defense Force. New one coming out soon, old one is a few years old and like 12$ US at Gamestop or from their website (realize you are in the UK).

It has all those things and it is very fun. Check some game play on youtube. You fight giant insects and robots and giant robot dinosaurs with ridiculous guns. Has some vehicles, like 40 levels and many difficulties and different guns for harder difficulties, it's just great.

Maybe Bulletstorm as well? A good game imo, but not really worth full price (borrowed it myself). The campaign was fun and really immature (thumbs up), but some feel that it gets a bit boring by the end. You have to challenge yourself with this game by trying to perform even more advanced skill shots and crazy things if it's to be any fun. I think that most people just stick with the same thing all along (kick, shoot, grab), and that's probably why it gets boring.

The multiplayer can be a lot of fun, but you need friends who play the game since it lacks a matchmaking function. The only ones I hade to play with were my brother's friends, but they quit playing as soon as they unlocked all anarchy-achievements (this happens all the time).

Fallout: New Vegas?

- 300+ hours long, with lots of epic activities.
- Guns of all varieties (Everything from a 9mm pistol to a mini-nuke launcher)
- Lots of robots to destroy (that are all based on the 1950's conception of robots, which makes things hilarious)
- Fiction based partially in reality. Fallout's world never progressed past 50s culture, and then suffered a nuclear apocalypse. Definitely one of the more interesting fictional worlds out there.
- A few gargantuan enemies here and there, but that's not really a selling point of the game.

I strongly suggest you check it out. Hopefully they've adequately patched the 360 version, as it was pretty buggy on release.

I can vouch that Bulletstorm's campaign is ridiculously fun, has a lot of interesting guns, and a few big and nasty beasts.

Another one that I recommend is Borderlands. It's both FPS and an RPG, tons of guns (all with stats and everything), the whole shebang of leveling up with a skill tree, and more than enough giant monsters. I highly recommend it, it also has an awesome art style.
