The Black Legion did. But most didn't as they probably just want to keep their identity and pride, etc.

Why should they?
I don't see why they should personally, I know the seemingly weirdest named Legion, the Emperors Children, kept their name as a bit of dark irony/humour.

"It is the great irony of the Legiones Astartes: engineered to kill to achieve a victory of peace that they can then be no part of."
- Roboute Guilliman
"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Few of the Legions are still unified. Only the Black Legion/Word Bearers/Alpha Legion have any kind of unified structure anymore, most CSM groups are off-shoots under warlords who often give themselves their own names (such as the Berzerkers of Skalanthrax, The Flawed Host, The Purge, etc).
Secondly really only the Emperor's Children have a name which contradicts their allegiance, and that is kept as a mockery of the Emperor/Imperium.

I will emphasise the points above, was there any need to? I'm not quite sure why lunar wolves changed to sons of Horus... Maybe because they liked him a lot? But they changed to black legion in mourning for him!!

How many of them still believe that, and how many are just out for revenge? I suspect the World Eaters are just out for Blood. With a capital B.

They all do, I mean what member of the Imperium wouldn't enjoy tentacle rape or being made to throw up your intestines after contracting some weird malady.
It's all good stuff!

Oh, sure, but having to listen to Tzeentch all the time? He's so passive-agressive! Except when he's being aggressive-aggressive.

It's when he starts talking to himself that you have to watch out for, so many mouths so very few ears

Did he? I always thought Horus renamed them to put a point on the fact that they were his legion and not the Emperors or mankinds. A hint at Horus' ego.
I can't believe I missed that. lol.

That's what we thought but the books revealed it was the other way around. The Emperor wanted him to change the name because Horus was hs favorite (bad parenting skills by Big E) and wanted to honour him. Horus didn't, seeing it as hubris. When Horus finally did make the change it was at the same time he had mentally betrayed the Emperor.
