Subject: Genestealers falling back into synapse???

If Genestealers fall back into synapse do they automaticlly regroup?
I mean it clearly states in the codex that if a unit that is falling back is within synapse range before it moves it automaticlly rallies, regardless of any normal restrictions.
But I have been told that Genestealers dont because of Brood telepathy???
Am I been led down the garden path lol???

Brood telepathy makes is so that the genestealers are not subject to the 'Instinctive behavior' Rule.
It says nothing about not being affected by Synapse.
So Genestealers are affected as normal by the Synapse rules.

Remember that the auto-rally only happens if they are in synapse range BEFORE they move. If they Fall Back into Synapse range, they're still broken until the Tyranid player's next turn.
Bear in mind also, though, that since the Synapse rally happens before the UNIT moves, you can move a synapse creature toward the broken unit BEFORE checking to rally/moving the broken unit, and potentially rally it immediately. This is possible in 5th ed since fallback moves are not made at the beginning of the phase anymore; they're made in place of that unit's movement. So you can move other units first.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Synapse rule states that they immediately rally. I could be mistaken, though.

They immediately rally if they are in synapse range before the fall back move. Not during.
I believe in older versions of the codex it worked the way you're thinking; they would fall back into range and rally when they hit the 12" mark. Space Marines' ATSKNF also used to work in a similar way; they rallied in the same turn they fell back, at the end of the fallback move. Nowadays they've standardized it so that (almost) everyone Rallies at the same time- before their fallback move in their own movement phase. The only exception is Eldar falling back into range of the Avatar. That's a FAQ ruling which was made before the current Tyranid or SM codices were written, and I think they actually based it on the old Synapse rules.
