Hey,

I wanted to know what you think of the idea of using Killa Kanz to represent an 11-Dreadnought Blood Angels List I made? (Yes, it is possible! 3 Furiosos, 5 DC Dreads, 3 Normal Dreads!)

I don't have the money to spend on 11 Dreadnoughts, so Kanz would be the best way for me to get the army on the table.

What do you reckon?

Just being honest, I think it's a very bad idea. You would be better off simply saving for the 11 Dreads.

Get Black Reach dreads and fill in the gaps with regular dread bits.

Honestly, I'd find it difficult to justify blowing the cash on such a casual, joking prospect; for the same money, I could have a much more serious, meaningful, competitive army.

It's something I've considered, but they'd look very... boring.

Yes and no.

It's not hard to convert kanz/dredds into non-orky walkers if you swap out the weapons and remove the orky bling, BUT they'd look very low tech and only really suit a Steampunk-themed counts-as BA army - they'd look a bit silly next to normal BA (especially if the army also contained normal BA vehicles).

And kanz would need a bit of bulking up to get to dread size - not hard if you're converting the models anyway.

Yes, but they with a little conversion to look as good as any other dread. It's a way to have nice looking dreads that are the correct model; and keep the cost low.
