Quick- show him a White Dwarf magazine. Ask him why they thought it would be a good idea to ruin it.

What exactly made you think he was a pretty cool dude? I'm not asking to bash him(or you) or anything, its just I've heard others say roughly the same. I missed the opportunity to meet him on a few occasions when he visited the US HQ before it moved to Memphis. Did he have any knowledge of playing the games? Answer any questions about GW related stuff that might have been asked?

He literally walked up to every person in the store, like 20ish, and asked them what they play, why they play and gave some incite on his own experiences in the hobby. He shot the gak with all of us too and joked about random stuff. Apparently he plays Space Wolves and has been reading some of the books recently. We even gave him crap about how there hasn't been a gamesday in California since '08, and he chuckled and tried to give us some info as to why. He looked in on a game or two and tried to help out too.

Was a nice experience and gives me a little hope for the "grimdark" company.

It was all good fun, people pumping their arm in the air cheering when he would walk by showing off a model he painted. We knew something was wrong when Jim, the local regular, slowly stopped pumping his arm, letting it drop to his side... and the cheers died down. Things got real quiet. It was then I realized the miniature and paint job he was showing everyone was heavily converted----with Chapter House Studios parts. Well, things went south pretty quick I can tell ya. Two red shirts roughed him up, dragging him out of the shop while he kept yelling "I AM WHO I AM".

Anyways that was the night the GW CEO stopped in our store, April 28th 2010.

AoE, I hope that is a joke.

PLEASE tell me that that is a joke. If that is true, I'm never setting foot in a GW again.

OK, so what was the info he 'tried' to give? Was it a chuckle like "sukka's" or a chuckle like "gamesday will rotate to a different area each year and your next?"

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

He basically said that they are trying to pinpoint where the best place to hold gamesday "permanently" more or less is, and they are trial and erroring it right now. He said that the next gamesday was still up for debate but memphis is likely. He also asked what conventions are held on the west coast, and how GW is tying to integrate into one if at all

Whether or not he was being honest is up for debate. I'm just relaying what I heard.

Of course it's not a joke.

Any Tyranid player with a Tervigon, Flyrant, or Tyrannofex is immediately suspected because GW don't make any of those models.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?
